Powers
Powers is a small timber-dependent community 18 miles south of Highway 42 on the South Fork of the Coquille River in Coos County.  The Powers Action Team (PAT) is a community group that lobbied for the creation of this bike route as one way of diversifying its economy.  Members of PAT are responsible for the western half of the Tour de Fronds route - manning two rest stops, providing SAG support, and serving a post-ride meal in Powers. 

To get to Powers, Take Oregon Hwy 42 to Powers Exit (3 miles east of Myrtle Point).  Proceed south 18 miles to the community of Powers.  There are amenities in Powers including the Powers County Park where camping is available.

For the Tour de Fronds, we start at the Powers Senior Center just over the second bridge.  Turn left on Fir and it's immediately on the right.

Glendale
Glendale is also a small timber-dependent community 3 miles west of Interstate 5 in southern Douglas County.  The Glendale Community Action Response Team (CART) also lobbied for the creation of the bike route for reasons similar to those sought by Powers.  Members of CART are responsible for the eastern half of the Tour de Fronds route – manning two rest stops, providing SAG support, and serving a post-ride meal in Glendale.  

To get to Glendale, Take I-5 south to the Glendale Exit, #80. Proceed west 3 miles on County Road 98 into Glendale.

For the Tour de Fronds, we start at the community center near the center of town.  Just follow the signs provided by the community.
